Upgrade of existing building structure from less than 33% NBS to 100% NBS. This involved retrofitting Reid bracing, UB beams and columns with reinforced concrete footings. The extent of the work provided an opportunity to replace the aluminium shopfront joinery, make safe the exterior canopy and upgrade accessibility and fire protection elements of the building. Footpath paving on Riccarton and Straven Roads were re-laid. All the work was undertaken with tenants remaining operational.
